Attorney Geoffrey Lindley and Latosha Dexter are Scheduled to Make Presentations in April

Jackson, TN – Geoffrey Lindley, an attorney with Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell PLC (Rainey Kizer) is scheduled to speak to three professional seminars in April.  Latosha Dexter, also at Rainey Kizer, will be the co-presenter for two of the sessions. Lindley and Dexter are members of the firm’s Employment Law and Civil Rights Practice Group.

Lindley’s first presentation will be Thursday, April 4, at a Health Care Reform seminar focusing on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) hosted by the Memphis Daily News.  Lindley will join executives from Baptist Memorial Health Care, Dixon Hughes Goodman Healthcare, and Group Benefits LLC, in a panel discussion following a presentation by Susan Cooper, SVP of Ambulatory Services at The MED.   This program is open to the public with an admission fee of $25.  For more information, visit seminars.memphisdailynews.com.

On Thursday, April 11, Lindley will be joined by Dexter to present “Case Studies in Public Employment” before the TPMA’s annual conference in Memphis.  The TPMA is the Tennessee chapter of the International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA-HR).  The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) will be the topics when the two address the West Tennessee Society for Human Resources Management meeting in Dyersburg, TN on April 18.

Lindley’s practice areas include employment law litigation (representing employers only), municipal law and government tort liability, civil rights litigation, and workers’ compensation.  He also has experience representing police departments and municipalities in 42 U.S.C. § 1983 litigation.  Lindley is a graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Law, where he was associate editor of Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law.

At Rainey Kizer, Dexter’s practice focuses on labor and employment law.  She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources and writes regularly on employment law issues for HR Professionals magazine.  Dexter also is a graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Law, where she was a member of the law review.
