Amanda is a member with the Firm practicing primarily in the area of healthcare liability defense and professional liability defense. Representing physicians, healthcare professionals, and legal professionals in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi, Amanda has extensive litigation experience in state, federal, appellate, and multi-district litigation courts and before various professional Boards.
Prior to her affiliation with Rainey Kizer in 2007, Amanda practiced in Hattiesburg, Mississippi for eight years in mass tort medical device/pharmaceutical defense, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, and general insurance defense. She has extensive appellate experience and multiple published decisions from the Mississippi Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.
Amanda is licensed to practice in the States of Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi. Her regional area of practice includes the Memphis/Shelby County metropolitan area, West Tennessee, Northeastern Arkansas, and all of North Mississippi extending into the Mississippi and Arkansas Deltas.
Amanda has been named to SuperLawyers annually since 2013 in the field of Medical Malpractice – Defendants. She has also been named to Best Lawyers in America annually since 2018 and Best Lawyers – Women in the Law. She was recently named 2025 Lawyer of the Year In Memphis for Medical Malpractice – Defense, an honor awarded annually by Best Lawyers to only one lawyer per practice area in each region based on peer reviews.
Outside of work, Amanda can be found spending time with her family at Pickwick Lake, cheering for her daughter’s volleyball games, or watching her daughter cheer for the Hutchison Sting. She also enjoys relaxing outdoors with a good book and her two goldendoodles, Lilybelle and Lulu. Amanda and her husband are avid New Orleans Saints and Ole Miss baseball fans and are faithfully waiting on a return trip to Omaha for the College World Series.
