W. Joseph Hollis, Jr.

W. Joseph “Joe” Hollis, Jr. has practiced civil litigation throughout Middle and East Tennessee and North Georgia since 1985.  He is admitted to practice in State and Federal Courts in both Tennessee and Georgia.  The majority of his practice is devoted to handling cases involving personal injury, third party claims, premises liability, common carrier liability, and other insurance related matters.

Before joining Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, PLC, he was a member of Baker, Kinsman, Hollis & Clelland, P.C. which was originally established in 1984 as Josiah Baker & Associates, P.C.  He became a partner with the firm in 1987 and the firm eventually grew to become Baker, Kinsman, Hollis & Clelland, P.C. which includes Mark Kinsman, Fred Clelland and Stephany Pedigo.

Joe received his B.A. degree from the University of Georgia in 1981 and his Juris Doctor degree from the Walter F. George School of Law in 1985.  His father was a Seabee in the United States Navy and, as a result, Joe lived in many parts of the country and world in his early preschool years.  He has lived in Chattanooga for 32 years.

Joe is admitted to practice in all state courts in Tennessee and Georgia.  He is also admitted in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.  He is a member of the Chattanooga and Tennessee Bar Associations.

Joe and his wife Julie reside in Signal Mountain, TN, have teenage twin children, Jay and Lindsey, and are members of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church.  He is an active participant with his son in Boy Scouts of America and with his daughter in her high school golf team activities and tournaments.
