Daniel earned his Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, in Psychology from the University of Tennessee-Martin, before earning his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. While in law school, Daniel received the Judge William B. Leffler Scholarship and served as a member of the University of Memphis Law Review, as a graduate assistant in the University of Memphis Law School Academic Support Program, and as a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Fraternity.

After law school, Daniel began his legal career as an associate attorney for Rainey Kizer Reviere & Bell PLC in its Main Street office in Jackson, Tennessee. He represented defendants in personal injury litigation involving passenger vehicle accidents and commercial carrier accidents. He also represented employers in employment law litigation and workers’ compensation litigation.

In 2006, Daniel began working for Crocker & Carter, PLLC, in Milan, Tennessee. During his tenure with Crocker & Carter, Daniel represented individuals in various areas of family and domestic relations litigation including orders of protection, divorce, adoption, termination of parental rights, child support, spousal support, child custody, and post-divorce. He also represented plaintiffs in personal injury litigation and plaintiffs and employers in workers’ compensation litigation. Finally, he represented criminal defendants in the courts of the State of Tennessee and served as the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Milan.

Daniel opened his own private practice, the Law Office of Daniel E. King, in his hometown of Camden, Tennessee in 2010. His small-town practice involved many types of practice including family and domestic relations litigation, personal injury litigation, workers’ compensation litigation, social security disability litigation, criminal defense, and probate and estate work.

After a brief stint with Hardee, Martin, Donahoe, Owens & Wright, P.A., in Jackson, Tennessee, Daniel went to work for domestic violence victims as an attorney with West Tennessee Legal Services in the Safe Hope Center in Jackson, Tennessee. In this position, Daniel represented victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in orders of protection litigation and provided court accompaniment and victim advocacy in criminal court to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Daniel returned to his private practice with the Law Office of Daniel E. King in early 2020. Approximately a year and a half later, the opportunity to return to Rainey Kizer Reviere & Bell PLC presented itself, and Daniel began working as Of Counsel in August 2021, becoming a Member of Rainey Kizer Reviere & Bell PLC in 2024.

Interests

Daniel traces his roots to Camden, Benton County, Tennessee, where he continues to make his home today with his wife and two children. Daniel serves as pastor at Eagle Creek Baptist Church in Holladay, Benton County, Tennessee. He enjoys pursuing the outdoors, playing golf, watching his children compete in their various athletic and academic endeavors, and spending time with his family in general.
