Heather works out of RKRB’s Jackson and Martin offices. She focuses her practice on probate estates, estate planning, wills and trusts, Medicaid asset protection planning, and conservatorships. Heather counsels individuals and families in probate matters that range from simple to complex, including situations where challenging family dynamics exist. Heather’s probate work includes helping clients correct title issues pertaining to inherited real estate and assisting clients with inherited international assets.
Heather often represents family members seeking to be appointed as conservator over the person and property of a loved one who no longer has the mental competency to make decisions for themselves. She is able to deftly navigate those sensitive family issues to ensure the incapacitated individual is properly cared for. She has been appointed by numerous judges to serve as guardian ad litem and attorney ad litem in disputed conservatorship matters.
