Michelle Greenway Sellers is an experienced and dedicated partner at Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, P.L.C., and has been with the firm since graduating from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2000. Michelle devotes the majority of her practice to defending hospitals, physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical clinics, nursing homes and other healthcare providers in healthcare liability litigation and regulatory matters. In addition, she practices in the areas of professional malpractice, business litigation, construction litigation, wills and estates, adoption, and personal injury litigation. Michelle is also a Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator and Family Law Mediator. With over twenty-five years of legal experience, Michelle has built a reputation for delivering strategic, results-driven solutions for clients in both litigation and transactional matters.

Michelle is known for her excellent communication skills in and outside the courtroom, and ability to navigate complex legal issues. Whether representing individuals, businesses, or organizations, she is committed to providing clients with personalized legal services tailored to their unique needs.

In additional to her legal practice, Michelle is deeply involved in the local legal community and State Bar Organizations. Throughout her career, Michelle has been committed to the development of the legal profession. Michelle served as President of the Tennessee Bar Association during the 2020 – 2021 bar year. Prior to becoming President, Michelle served on the TBA Board of Governors in various roles for 10 years. Previously, Michelle also served as President of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division. After concluding her time in the Young Lawyers Division, Michelle as served as President of the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Fellows. She also served for two years as the President of Jackson-Madison County Bar Association. In 2011, after only ten years of practice, Michelle had the distinct honor as being selected as a Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation. Michelle currently serves on the Tennessee Lawyers Fund for Client Protection committee.

Michelle is admitted to practice before all Tennessee State and federal courts, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States.

While President of the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, the Wills for Heroes program was instituted in Tennessee providing free wills, powers of attorney, and advance directives for Tennessee's firefighters, law enforcement officers, and first responders. The program continues today through the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers Division as the Essential Documents for Essential Workers program.
