In law school, Nakota served as a notes editor for the University of Memphis Law Review and as a board member of the University of Memphis Moot Court Board. Nakota was the recipient of the Student Note Excellence Award, Moot Court Board Member of the Year Award, and the Bronze Dean’s Distinguished Pro Bono Award. She also received CALI Awards in Torts II, Constitutional Law, Estate Planning, Trial Advocacy, and Negotiations and Mediations.

Prior to joining the firm, Nakota was a judicial extern for the Honorable Chief Magistrate Judge Tu M. Pham in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee and a student law clerk for U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Tennessee.
