Dale Thomas Invited to Serve as Panelist at Sixteenth Annual Tennessee Workers Compensation Conference

Nashville, TN (April 9, 2013) – Dale Thomas, a partner at Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell PLC (Rainey Kizer) in Jackson, Tennessee, has accepted an invitation to serve as a panelist during the Sixteenth Annual Tennessee Workers Compensation Conference, to be held June 19-21 in Nashville.  The conference is sponsored by the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development (TN DLWD) and the International Workers’ Compensation Foundation.

According to Labor and Workforce Development, the goal of this conference is to educate those who participate in the Tennessee workers’ compensation system regarding current rules, procedures, policies and forms.  All employers, insurance adjusters, self-insurers, third party administrators, safety and human resource managers, plaintiff and defense attorneys, health care providers, mediators and medical and vocational rehabilitation providers are encouraged to attend.

Thomas has extensive experience in the areas of workers’ compensation, employment law, insurance coverage, trucking law, and education law. He is a member of Rainey Kizer’s Employment Law Practice Group and also serves as a member of the Tort & Insurance Practice Group.  Last October, Thomas addressed the West Tennessee Business Medical Advisory Council Conference on updates in workers’ compensation legislation.

He joined the firm following graduation with honors from the University of Tennessee College of Law.  In law school, Thomas was the author of “Prejudgment Interest in Personal Injury Actions in Tennessee,” 15 Tennessee Judicial Newsletter, No. 1, 1988. Mr. Thomas was also the Articles Editor of the Tennessee Law Review.  He graduated with highest honors in 1985 from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
