Four Rainey Kizer Attorneys Named “Super Lawyers”,

Six Recognized as Rising Stars by Law and Politics Magazine

Jackson, TN (December 2, 2013) –  Four Rainey Kizer attorneys have been recognized by their peers as 2013 Mid-South Super Lawyers by Law & Politics magazine and six of the firm’s attorneys earned recognition as Rising Stars by the same publication. The Mid-South region includes the states of Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi.

Those recognized as Super Lawyers and their practice areas are Jerry Kizer and Marty Phillips in Personal Injury Defense: Medical Malpractice, Rusty Reviere in Civil Litigation Defense, and Angela Youngberg in Health Care.

This is the eighth consecutive year that Kizer, Reviere, and Phillips have been recognized by their peers as Super Lawyers, and the second time Youngberg has received the honor.  She previously was recognized as a Rising Star.

Three attorneys were recognized as Rising Stars in the Personal Injury Defense: Medical Malpractice practice area.  They are John O. Alexander, IV, Craig Sanders, and Amanda Waddell.

Also recognized as Rising Stars are Latosha Dexter for Employment Litigation: Defense, Erin Melton Shea for Civil Defense Litigation, and Nathan E. Shelby for Personal Injury Defense: General.

Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business publication, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys. Rising Stars are attorneys who have been recognized by their peers as the best among those in practice for less than 10 years.

Super Lawyer recognition is limited to five percent of the attorneys in a state, and Rising Star recognition is limited to 2.5 percent of the attorneys in a state.
