Latosha Dexter Joins Board of Directors of Girls Inc. of Memphis

Memphis, TN (June 16, 2011) – Latosha Dexter, an attorney in the Memphis office of Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, PLC (Rainey Kizer), has been selected to join the Girls Incorporated of Memphis (Girls Inc.) Board of Directors. Girls Inc. provides after-school and summer programs for girls ages six through 18 in the Memphis community.

“I’m excited at the opportunity to step up my support of Girls Inc.,” said. Dexter, who has volunteered in the organization’s mentoring program for the past 12 months. “Helping girls complete their education and providing them with important life skills plays an important role in strengthening our community, both economically and socially,” She added.

 

Girls Inc., now in its 65thyear of serving the Memphis community, structures its programs around six core competencies: career and life planning, culture and heritage, health and sexuality, leadership and community action, self-reliance and life skills, and sports and adventure.

 

Dexter is an attorney in the Employment Law and Civil Rights Practice Group at Rainey Kizer. She recently was honored by the NAACP of Jackson, TN with the Century Award, which recognizes attorneys who have contributed to the mission of the NAACP.
