Rainey Kizer Attorneys Shea and Joiner Presenters at Memphis Bar Seminar
Memphis (September 27) – Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell PLC (Rainey Kizer) attorneys Erin Melton Shea and Michael Burnett Joiner were presenters at the “General Sessions 101” Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Program sponsored by the Young Lawyers Division of the Memphis Bar Association. The presentation was part of the Division’s “Triple Threat” series of presentations and was hosted by Judge Phyllis Gardner of Shelby County General Sessions Court.
The program used a multiple presenter format and focused on areas of the law that are frequently encountered in General Sessions court cases. Presenters covered the most important aspects of each type of case and provided tips on strategies for handling cases and trials at the General Sessions level. Shea presented the defense side of Tennessee Consumer Protection Act cases, while Joiner presented the defense side of Personal Injury practice. Attorneys who attended received three hours of CLE credit.
At Rainey Kizer, both Shea and Joiner are members of the Tort and Insurance Practice Group practicing in the firm’s Memphis office. Both are graduates of the University of Memphis Cecil C.
