John Burleson is a member of Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, PLC and has been associated with the Firm since receiving his law degree, with honors, in 1983 from the University of Tennessee.

Burleson is also distinguished as a Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator, a certification he obtained in 2013. He is one of only 12 attorneys located in the Jackson, Tennessee area listed in the U.S. District Court Mediator Directory. For the past six years, Burleson has mediated cases in both state and federal courts in Middle and West Tennessee. He is an experienced mediator in cases involving age, gender, and race discrimination, FMLA violations, sexual harassment, civil rights violations, landowner disputes, auto accidents, wage and hour issues, construction litigation, violation of noncompete agreements, contract disputes, premises lability, and ADA violations.

When not working, he is involved in activities with his church, following the Tennessee Volunteers in all sports, spending time with his seven grandchildren and watching their various activities, and when time allows, sitting on the porch of his house at the Tennessee River reading a good book and watching the river go by.
