We collect telephone and mobile numbers directly from clients, opposing counsel, courts, co-counsel, and vendors, or from filings, correspondence, and other records generated in the course of a legal matter.

Text communications with the Firm’s clients may be subject to attorney-client privilege and the Firm’s professional and ethical duty of confidentiality under the Tennessee Rules of Professional Conduct. The Firm treats such communications accordingly and limits access to them to personnel who need the information to provide legal services.
6. Consent and Opt-Out
By providing a telephone number and communicating with the Firm by text, you agree to receive case-related text messages. The Firm does not use text messaging for commercial marketing and does not sell, rent, or trade telephone numbers or messaging data.
You may ask the Firm to stop communicating with you by text at any time by replying STOP or by contacting us using the information below. Discontinuing text communications will not affect the Firm’s ability to communicate with you about the matter through other appropriate means.
7. How We Share Information
The Firm does not sell or share personal information for marketing purposes. Text-message information may be disclosed only:
- To service providers that support the Firm’s communications and operations, such as our telecommunications or SMS platform and our information-technology and security vendors, which may process the information only on our behalf; and
- As needed during the course of legal proceedings, or as required by law or court order (e.g. to opposing counsel, courts, co-counsel, or in response to a subpoena, etc.).
8. Data Security
The Firm uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect text-message information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and the Firm cannot guarantee absolute security.
