Charles Exum

Chuck, a native of Jackson, has practiced with Rainey, Kizer since his graduation from law school in 1991. During that time he has specialized in creditors’ rights and debt collection in both the consumer and commercial areas. His practice in bankruptcy has involved representation of creditors in chapters 7, 11 and 13, as well as representation of unsecured creditors committees and case trustees. Additionally, Chuck represents lenders, purchasers and/or sellers in both commercial and residential real estate transactions. This real estate practice has led to litigation experience in partition actions, easement rights and boundary disputes. Chuck has also developed a thriving practice in the areas of Probate and Conservatorship matters. In addition to representing individual and institutional fiduciaries in both simple and complex estate proceedings, he has been appointed numerous times as guardian ad litem and attorney ad litem in disputed probate and conservatorship matters.
