Matthew Courtner is a Member of Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, P.L.C., and joined the Firm in 2011. Matthew practices in the area of general litigation, focusing primarily on tort and insurance defense, workers’ compensation, municipal law, and employment law. Matthew is a member of the Firm’s Tort and Insurance Practice Group and the Employment Law and Civil Rights Practice Group.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Union University, Matthew earned his law degree, summa cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law. While in law school, Matthew was a research assistant for Professor Deborah Challener and served as the On-Line Articles Editor for the Mississippi College Law Review.
After graduating from Mississippi College School of Law in 2009, Matthew decided to further his education. He received his Masters of Law in Taxation for New York University School of Law in 2010. While pursuing an L.L.M., Matthew was a research assistant for Professor Noel Cunningham.
