Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, PLC Announces Three New Partners

Jackson, TN (January 22, 2022) – Brandon W. Reedy (Jackson), Brandon J. Stout (Nashville), and Hugh Francis, IV (Memphis) have been named as Members of Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, PLC.

Brandon W. Reedy focuses his practice on insurance coverage disputes and defending insured persons and entities in all aspects of civil litigation with an emphasis in the areas of complex insurance coverage, first party insurance claims, professional liability, and premises liability.  Brandon is a member of the Firm’s Tort & Insurance Practice Group.  He joined the Firm in 2013 after serving for two years as a law clerk to Judge David R. Farmer of the Tennessee Court of Appeals, Western Section.  Brandon earned his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Memphis where he served on the Editorial Board of the Law Review, and earned the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Legal Methods for writing the best appellate brief and best legal memorandum.  During that time, Brandon also served as a research assistant to Professor Robert C. Banks, Jr., where he was responsible for updating the leading Tennessee Civil Procedure treatise, and served as a graduate assistant to Professor David S. Romantz, where he assisted in writing a textbook on statutory construction and legislation.  Before law school, Brandon earned his Bachelor of Business Administration, summa cum laude, from Middle Tennessee State University.  Brandon is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association.  Brandon, his wife Courtney, and their two children, reside in Jackson, Tennessee.

Brand J. Stout joined the Firm in 2014 after earning his law degree from the University of Memphis. Brandon is a member of the firm’s Malpractice Practice Group, where he represents physicians, dentists, nurses, hospitals, and clinics in medical malpractice litigation. Brandon also has experience representing health care providers before the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners during investigations conducted by the Tennessee Department of Health Office of Investigations. In addition, Brandon has experience representing clients in contract disputes, insurance coverage disputes, and defending premises liability claims and tort claims arising out of motor vehicle accidents. While in law school, he served as a research assistant to Professor Barbara Kritchevsky, researching issues in tort law. He also served on the Editorial Board of The University of Memphis Law Review as an Articles Editor. Additionally, Brandon interned for the Honorable S. Thomas Anderson and the Honorable Diane K. Vescovo, Magistrate, United States District Court, Western District of Tennessee, and Justice Roger A. Page, while he was on the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals. Brandon earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee—Knoxville. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Nashville Bar Association.

Hugh Francis, IV joined Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, P.L.C. as an Associate in 2018 and became a Member of the Firm in 2022. Hugh is a member of the firm’s Malpractice Practice Group where he represents physicians, nurses, hospitals, dentists and clinics in medical malpractice litigation. Hugh has defended health care providers since earning his law degree from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2013. He also has experience working in general litigation defense having represented other professionals accused of civil liability. While in law school, he served as the executive director of the Student Bar Association and won the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Legal Writing. Prior to law school, Hugh earned his Bachelor of Arts from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Memphis Bar Association, and Mississippi Bar Association.
