Four Accomplished Law Students to Join Rainey Kizer Summer Associates Program

Jackson – Four accomplished second year law school students are joining Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell PLC (Rainey Kizer) as summer associates.  They will work closely with the firm’s licensed attorneys by providing legal research and assisting in cases before returning to school in the fall to complete their legal education.

 

The associates are Bradley Champine, a law student at the University of Mississippi, Walker Kinney, who attends the University of Tennessee School of Law, Ariel Mason from Vanderbilt Law School, and University of Memphis Law School student Jarrett Spence.   Champine and Kinne will work in the firm’s Jackson office; Mason and Spence are assigned to Rainey Kizer’s office in Downtown Memphis.

 

At Ole Miss, Champine is a member of the school’s law review and has the fourth highest grade point average in his class.  He earned his Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, at the University of Southern Mississippi, where he was named the Outstanding Student of Philosophy.  He spent last summer in a judicial internship in Paris, TN.

 

Kinney is a Dean’s List student at Tennessee. He is a graduate of Furman University where he was a Dean’s List student and was awarded the O’Dell Humanities Scholarship and the Achiever Scholarship.  He has worked for law firms in Somerville and Germantown, TN and in Greenville, SC.

 

Vanderbilt law student Mason is president of the school’s Health Law Society and the recipient of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Scholarship.  She also earned her undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt, where she was editor-in-chief of The Vanderbilt Review and was selected for membership in the Mortar Board National Honor Society and the Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society.  She spent the summer of 2013 as a Legal Intern at Baptist Memorial Healthcare Corporation.

 

Spence has the 10th highest grade point average in his class at the University of Memphis.  He received the Dean’s Award for Excellence for Best Legal Methods and the Cali Award for Criminal Law, awarded for having the highest grade in the course.  He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.  He spent last summer at a law firm in Memphis and has served as a research assistant to two law professors.
