Law Students from Georgetown, Ole Miss, and University of Memphis Join Rainey Kizer as Summer Associates

Jackson, TN (June x, 2013) –Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell PLC (Rainey Kizer) recently welcomed the arrival of its 2013 summer associates.  Four law students will work closely with the firm’s licensed attorneys by providing legal research and assisting in cases, and will be based in the firm’s Jackson and Memphis offices.

The Georgetown University Law Center student is Tianda V. Harris.  Nader Jarun is a student at the University Of Mississippi School Of Law, and Ashley E. Geno and Adam P. Nelson both attend law school at the University of Memphis.  Harris, Geno, and Nelson are based in the firm’s Jackson, TN offices and Jarun is based in the firm’s Memphis office.

At Georgetown, Harris is co-vice president of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, a National Security Law Society section representative, and a member of the Black Law Students Association, the International Law Society, and the Georgetown Entertainment & Media Alliance. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she was a Dean’s Scholar and earned the Outstanding Senior Management, Marketing, Computer Science and Information Systems Student Award.

Jarun is the ABA School Representative and Delegate at Ole Miss.  He is a member of the Business Law Society Executive Board, the International Law Society, and the Community Service Advisory Board.   He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan where he played varsity soccer and was named three times as an Academic All-Big Ten.  He began his college career at Vanderbilt University, where he was named to the Academic All SEC team.

Geno is ranked seventh in her class of 135 law students at the University of Memphis.   She received the CALI Award for Torts and a Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law Fellowship.  Geno is an associate member of the Mental Health Law & Policy Journal.  At Union University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree, she was secretary of Pi Sigma Alpha, The National Political Science Honor Society, and a Senate Delegate in the Student Government Association.

Nelson also is one of the leading students at the University of Memphis Law School, ranking ninth in his class.  His academic honors include receiving two Deans Awards of Excellence for Best Legal Memo and Best Appellate Brief and the CALI Award for Property Two.  He received the Herbert Herff Presidential Law Scholarship and is a staff member of the University of Memphis Law Review.  He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
