Jackson, TN – The West Tennessee Society for Human Resource Management (WTSHRM), in conjunction with Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell PLC (Rainey Kizer), will hold its Spring Human Resources and Employment Law Conference on Wednesday, May 14 at the Jackson Campus of Union University.

The conference is geared toward educating business owners, human resource professionals and managers who deal with personnel and regulatory issues as part of their overall job responsibilities.

Topics will include navigating conflicts when multiple federal laws and regulations apply to a workplace, complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act, avoiding pitfalls when preparing employee handbooks, dealing with bullying in the workplace, and documenting employee misconduct.

Among the Rainey Kizer attorneys participants in the conference are Robert Binkley, John Burleson, Latosha Dexter SPHR, Geoffrey Lindley, and Michael Mansfield.  Peer reviews rank Binkley and Burleson as among the Best Lawyers in America in employment law-related matters and Dexter, Lindley, and Mansfield have been recognized as Rising Stars in this field.

The conference will begin with registration at 7:45 a.m. and will conclude at 3:30 p.m..  All activities, including lunch, will take place in the Carl Grant Events Center at Union.  The program has been submitted for 5.5 recertification credit hours for the PHR, SRHR, and GRHR certifications.
