Attorneys Bell and Burleson to Participate in Jackson Chamber of Commerce Event

“Business at 212 Degrees” Set for September 13th

 

Jackson (July 29, 2013) – Will Bell and John Burleson, attorneys at Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell PLC (Rainey Kizer) will participate in the Jackson Chamber of Commerce program “Business at 212 Degrees” the morning of Friday, September 13th.  The program topic is “Perseverance: An Hour with an Attorney Q&A.”

Bell will speak on business structure and Burleson will address workers’ compensation.  The “Business at 212 Degrees” series of programs is designed to help businesses increase their bottom line and is open to all Chamber members.

Bell was recognized by Best Lawyers® in America 2013 as the Memphis-area “Lawyer of the Year” for real estate law.

At Rainey Kizer, his practice focuses on the purchase and sale of such diverse assets as shopping centers, farms, undeveloped commercial real estate, manufacturing facilities, warehouse and distribution centers, and hotels.  His practice also includes negotiating and finalizing leases on large commercial and industrial buildings and the sale and acquisition of medical practices and healthcare businesses.

The University of Tennessee Law School graduate has been AV-Rated by Martindale Hubble continuously since 2002 and has been selected by his peers as a Mid-South Super Lawyer every year since 2005.

Burleson handles matters in the areas of employment law litigation (representing employers only), commercial litigation, municipal law, federal civil rights litigation, and workers’ compensation. Mr. Burleson conducts internal investigations for employers and advises employers in the areas of compliance with Title VII, ADEA, ADA, the Tennessee Human Rights Act, and other state and federal laws related to employment.

He is a Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation and a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute.  Burleson previously served as chairman of the Jackson Board of Zoning Appeals and as chairman of the board of the University School of Jackson.
